Notes
Well I was supposed to do 2 x 3 mile at GRP - 10 (6:07/mi) today but it did not go as planned. I think I just needed one more rest day as my legs were still pretty tired from the 10 mile race. I started well and ran the first mile of the first set on pace but I fell apart after that. I just didn't have it today but I was glad that I had some company in Anthony who was doing 3 x 3 because even though I didn't run with him, I was always chasing him down today and that kept me going. My effort was high but it felt like I was running harder than I did on Sunday but the legs just weren't there to match it. I am pleased that I found a second wind for the last two miles of the second set and was only 13 seconds off my goal. I still averaged 6:24 over the six miles so it could have been a lot worse. I will take this one today knowing I wasn't 100% and I still ran pretty well. I will likely take one more day of recovery and do the next workout on Friday instead of Thursday.
