The plan for the evening is off-road circuits in Jubilee Park

Starting to the left of the path running towards Thornet Wood Road, the c. 600 metres circuit is on a grassy/heath surface. (We'll all do a practice run of the circuit before starting, as a warm-up and to learn the route.)

You should choose a running partner of roughly equal running speed to yourself, and take turns to run round the circuit, at faster than 5k pace, handing over to your partner when completing the circuit, and then resting until your partner returns after their circuit, then repeating it until the session ends after 40 minutes.

Its hard work and invigorating, and it will help to sharpen up both your speed and stamina for future 5k time trials and racing. As someone once said, "The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle".

Bring water with you and your ordinary road trainers will be fine, but off road/trail shoes will also be suitable.
