Hamstring tendons (short head of biceps femoris) are tender with some massage. First noticed a slight twinge on left leg when running tempo on Monday and sure enough with some prodding found some soreness at the mid/upper attachment of the short head.
Hamstrings themselves seemed to be ok but with some massage at work and home using a softball/baseball the last couple days I've found some tightness and perhaps some trigger points that were no doubt coming into play on the tendon.
Good news is that I can still run, have noticed some improvement and think I caught this early enough.
Left leg was initial issue but noticing the same/similar tenderness in right leg...however the right leg lacks the noticeable tightness/twinges and hamstring knots.
Keeping a close eye on both legs, but will probably be more stubborn than I should.
