Ran the trail by the tracks today. Such a peaceful trail. Other than the occasional train with friendly waving conductors, I always seem to have the trail to myself, and there are enough roads and neighborhoods within sight that I don't feel isolated. Took it easy today, didn't pay any attention to my pace/Garmin. Stopped at mile 2 for a couple photos and then at mile 5 to pee. Now that I have my mind set on the NF 50K in DC in April, I think I'll try to get all my easy runs out on the trails. I'll still keep speedwork, tempo and long runs on the road until marathon in Nov.... fun fun fun!!
