Notes

It rained a little at the start. I ran about 2.5 miles and then took my coat off as the rain let off. as i put it in my car, i noticed the auto pause feature didn't seem to be on. so, it may have clocked me standing for a little while. i accidentally programed it to record a 2 minute interval instead of twenty. this confused me and so i ran 22 minutes at around a 7:35 pace. then i cooled off for the last mile. normally i use my sports watch to record the time and start my interval on mile three, but i didn't have it and so i really don't know what my splits were. but, it was a tough run. this week and last i have felt like there was no way i could run 20 minutes at that pace, but somehow i do it.

***I looked at my time again, based on the Garmin webpage, using a time calculator I arrived at these as the splits:

1--9:13

2--8:29

3--9:23

4--7:35

5--7:42

6--7:53

7--9:26

These do not include auto pause, so miles 1-3 all include stopping for traffic and stopping at my car to remove my jacket (which I did between mile 2 and 3).

mile 4 and 5 were at a tempo speed the entire time. My pace was to be between 7:19 and 7:38, so I was a little slow. Mile 6 was mostly at tempo speed, but is a few minutes at recovery speed, so I may have been doing 7:35, and then it slowed down to 7:53 when I slowed down to receiver. That is just a guess, but I think I ran that split faster than the one before it, until the timer went off.

I think not having my garmin set the way i like it affected me a little, but really I may have just been tired. I woke up the next day (friday and did not run the 5 miles that I wanted to due to sleepiness/tiredness. I felt okay later in the day on Friday to run, but did not because I am going long on saturday (maybe 15). The last time I did 15, I ran 5 the night before and I felt very tired, especially at the end.
