Temp 68 Wind 3 mph. Humidity 92% Dew Point 65°.

Sharpening Day. Original plan was 8 x 200. Two weeks of outside forces short circuiting long runs + coming back with one as chippy as Sunday = significant alteration of recovery curve. Went to bed last night thinking this workout may need to be bumped back to Wednesday. Woke up, stretched out, and left the house thinking, maybe 16 x stride the straights and jog the turns. Calculated and controlled warm up jogging / running and think I'm good to proceed with the originally planned 200s.

Warm-Up - Jog to track at 8:30 average pace. Walk the turns and stride the straights for one lap, then jog another 100.

Workout - Average paces for 200s: 6:51 / 6:35 / 6:25 / 6:24 making lefts. Flip directions and go 6:15 / 6:21 / 6:18 / 6:12 making rights. Outlier (6:15 on #5) was the result of near flawless execution from the first step.

Cool-Down - Extra easy jog back to the house at 8:42 average pace.

Pleased to be able to get this done with little to no set-back in recovery progress. Series of solid 2017 workouts starting to pile up. Overall, feeling as "formidable" against area competition as I've felt for several years. One penny.
