20/H4A-5K/20 Aerobic Run. Warm and almost sticky air. Tight this morning. Sunday's squats and kicks going to hang around a few hours longer. Not as long or intense of a workout as previous weeks, so ready to roll. Warm-up down to City Park with two surges. 2.34 miles.

Splits for H4A 5K course: 7:05 / 7:15 / 7:18 (6:58). Not a lot of traffic, so got to run all but a couple of the tangents. Right at 3.05. Take into account all the ups and downs on Garmin accurary and I'd say RD has done just fine. Will be able to claim a legit time this weekend whatever it is. With hills and training fatigue, got too close to tempo too soon in mile one. Eased a tad to stay aerobic. Mile two is hardest regardless. Wind this morning coming in same direction as forecast has it on race day. Makes for a headwind on two flat sections that could otherwise have been exploited. All part of the game.

Took it in a little easier than I brought it out. Cut off about 1/8th of a mile and made it to the driveway in 19:38.
