Temp 12 (-2) Wind 11 mph.

60-Second Hill Repeats. Is what it is today, and what it is, is brutal. Went out to do an alternating tempo run and ditched that idea after about ten minutes. Did not see any way that I could gauge effort with 20# of gear and face covered. Decided to go with hill repeats. Additional benefit was hill on Orchard Drive would be cross-ways with the wind. Up = 3.14 miles averaging 7:56 pace. Two surges late. Was not sure if my old man right hip was going to come out and play this morning, but finally poked its head out of the cave around the three mile mark.

Workout = 6 x 60 Second Hill Repeats. 1:00 minute up, 2:00 minutes jog to bottom and hit a strider, and 2:00 minute walk interval. Parts I could actually feel felt like they got a good workout.

Down = 2.13 miles at 8:00 flat average pace. A quarter and a penny. Only runner / walker out this morning. Guess all the 1x and 2x a week bad asses are busy with Christmas and don't have time to do a stunt to post for all their social media friends.
