Temp 74 Winds Calm. Humidity 95% Dew Point 73°.
Track Intervals. Even some haze this morning to help give us the full effect. Jog a 1.80 mile route to the track at 8:26 average pace. Take a lap walking the turns and striding the straights.
Same workout as last week. 3 x 1200 (3 laps) at 5K effort with 400 (1 lap) jogs. Using lanes 5-4 again. Objective this morning is to settle into a 6:30ish pace and run it relaxed and smooth in the hot / humid air.
#1) Checked Garmin at 600 (6:40) and 1000 (6:38). Finished at 6:37. Good start.
#2) Checked Garmin at 600 (6:34). Think I can trust myself rest of the way. True dat, finished at 6:34.
#3) Tight first 400, then coasted last 800 smooth, controlled, and executing all the way. 6:30 average.
Easy two mile cool down at 9:19 average pace.
