Great run today. The Sun was very hot, cool'ish breeze made it tolerable though. Trying out a new training strategy cutting down on the GU and other carbs during my runs. Didn't use any today, just some water and electrolytes (12oz's to be exact). I'm not going to use any GU or other sources of carbs or protein unless I'm going to run 10 miles or more and then only going to use what I minimally need. Worked-out well for me today. Went out and hammered my 5 miles at M Pace. The last mile was pretty tough with Birch Brush Hill starting halfway through. Felt great when I was done. Hapy and spent...
