I started in front and was in 3rd place until about the 0.5 mi mark. A couple of people passed me on the first hill. More people passed me on Foster's rollers, then the last big hill really took it out of me. Nobody else passed me from this point on. I recovered a bit on Comm Ave. Then just ran as hard as I could down Lake Ave and to the finish, and I almost caught the 3 girls that "chicked" me on the big hill. Solid perfomance overall, finished 16th, my highest placement ever! I definitely ran outside of my comfort zone the whole race, but I'm left feeling like I could've in fact run even harder.
