my fears were confirmed and I ran as bad as expected
my only motivation was holding off Erik for 2nd...I looked over my shoulder 4 times even though I never do in most races. I started out way ahead but new all along it would be close but I fought just hard enough to stay in front.

some really old really buff guy ran 17's
bathroom facilities were totally inadequate and i could feel a nasty on poop the whole time... I'm pretty sure the course was the right distance but the mile markers were probably a little off

11:16 pretty flat
16:57 downhill to the finish
the next two weeks will me a lot more restful
