Started out with Val, Andy, and Mindy, super cold -5. Ran on snowmobiled packed trails out to the corn field rather slow 4 miles. Turned around and mostly ran with Andy a bit quicker but harder in the pock-marked snow, 1:33. Grabbed a bottle, downed a GU and turned around. Real cold again after sweating a bunch and took a while to warm up. The snow was much softer and harder to run on. Made it to the power lines after trudging through real moist snow and dodging three snowmobiles. Had another GU and turned around, 56:42 out, an hour back. Definitely felt it and had to walk a bunch the last three miles. Felt great to finish! Screws in the shoes worked better.
