Notes
We are in Bont Dolgadfan, which is near Llanbrynmair, which is near Machynlleth, which is in a hilly little bit of Wales. Guidford Pyles, us lot, my mum, Hugh and Diane, and for the last two nights the Oxford Pyles as well.
This was a slightly bit-off-more-than-could-chew walk. Perhaps it was 7 miles, with lots of gate-climbing, get away from the cows, up and along a good ridge visible from the house. We always seem to go to this sort of place on holiday: pune trees, cows, etc. Most of them sensibly baled out and did a shorter return route!
