w J and W: Three hours including lunch, blackberrying and wine gum stops. Haven't measured the distance. Route-finding for the Claife Heights section of Lakes in a Day - parked at Near Sawrey (saw Jenny Cornell's car behind us on a v obscure country road!) and followed track back over the top - realise that we have walked near there before. Found the bit where Mike B and I went wrong on our recce. Nice area, pretty undulating, quite a few dogs (J pleased), stopped in a mossy pine forest (W pleased), lots of toadstools.
