Knepp w Jane, SWJ (T is in London). Heatwave and drought! Wildlife highlights were about 24 storks, and a pig dozing by a mud wallow right by the path! Cows were quiet and distant. Exmoor ponies presumably hidden deep in some shady glade. Remarkable place.
PS: It turns out that today was day one of 19 juvenile storks' release from Cotswolds - which is why stork numbers were quite so extraordinary.
