Le Biot. About 8 inches of snow on the ground, varied during the week from crunchy (start of the week) to slushy (mid week) to ankle-twisting refrozen ruts. Temp generally about zero or minus two, but towards end of the week some snow in the air and temps more like -7. Medieval feel with wood barns. Dramatic scenery.
This first one was the least successful of the runs - plunging into knee-deep snowdrifts, stumbling over fallen branches, following deer tracks where man hath never trod.
