From the Arden hotel along inviting country lanes to a village called Maxstoke - light frost on the grass, pink dawn glimmering - but unfortunately the roads turned out to be a rush hour rat run! Lovely fields and paths at Maxstoke. Returned via the edge of the extensive hotel golf course.
