Croix Colomban through woods behind the aptmt. 2.5 hours walkingon the signs - amazingly well signposted round here. Some excellent tracks through the pine trees, but also some very stony and horrendously rooty steep paths too! About 200m ascent but undulating too. The Croix is about 20 feet high w views across the La Clusaz valley - spectacular limestone ridges everywhere. Alt 1500 - 1700m. Hard work.
