1:56 moving time, apparently. 500+m climbing. That's Lyth part recce - from the church in Kendal to (not sure I found the right path) golf course, over the main road, to Gamblesmire Lane and Underbarrow (Black Labrador pub) ... i.e. first 5 miles ... then a couple of miles along roads to pick up the last section over Scout Scar. Very gentle pace except the last file because someone started following me! Lots of route confusions, mainly or partly improved by this recce. Still confused by Scout Scar. Muddy but nice weather today. (After taking my mum back to Ambleside). Byfields arrived later.
