SRT 10K - first hard run since spraining my back. In contrast to pre-race thought, I started out very aggressively, and then tried to back into my preconceived pace (6:40 per mile). Felt good until about mile 4, when I felt myself noticable fade - due to an over-eager start and lack of training (from the injury). Conditions were gamey - rained at the start, humid throughout the day (almost 90-100% humidity in 75 degree temps). Managed a 2nd place in my age group, and took a lot of lessons that I hope to apply to my training moving forward. Great race - proud of the Scalawag and CPB.
