Quality Workout #2 Week 21:
60-minutes easy
6 x 5-6 minute tempos (w/ 1-minute recovery)
15 minutes easy
It was unfortunate with the scheduling to have to run week 21's Q's back-to-back (going against recommendations), but I went into this run making a likely goal of 4 tempos minimum, since I ran 18+ miles yesterday (w/ 8 tempos). Really was enjoying the tempos, but I had to make an emergency pit-stop, and I decided to cut the run short since it was getting dark.
So not the expectations I wanted, but it was probably for good reason to cut it short. Really felt good, and I'm excited for the upcoming 5K. I feel more explosive than ever before, and I feel that I'm a better rounded runner over these last 47 (?) weeks. Will run 22 on Tuesday, so the cut short probably was smart.
