Ran the tempos in the neighborhood where the superbowl 10K is run, tempos were run in a lot of elevation changes for a real test. Felt that this week was the start of the more serious mixed tempo/long run workouts that are so pivotal to peak performance. I felt that I hit my pace early, like slipping into a fast suit. I can really feel my extra gears developing.
I feel that everything is on pace to date, which is well, as I found out that Steamtown has no pacers in the race. So it's especially important I know how my pacing feels based on my perceived exertion levels.
