Notes
I'm happy with my time but mostly just happy that I had fun throughout the race. It was a slopfest and I felt like I was barely moving in the mud but then I'd hit a stretch with wind at my back and I felt great. The cheering was really helpful (especially loved Audrey's group yelling "go coach Josh"). Throughout the first few miles I heard coaches yelling at guys around me that they were around 90th place which I didn't like because that's far back so I picked it up and had a pretty solid kick to finish just under top 50. Not too bad for the day and competition. It was great to see my grandparents and parents and I'm hoping everyone enjoyed the day and can forget about the times.
The overnight was tons of fun. I loved my group. We played cards against humanity and mafia and had a blast, and it was cool to wake up at 3am briefly to watch Kipchoge finish live. Very fun weekend overall and big thanks to Connor for all the organization.
