This training run was meant to keep us at a fat burning pace and not at all for speed. Felt great out there today like I was holding back. No pains or problems and Yay no falls!!! I had some reservations about this trail mainly because the last time I hiked it I did not have the best experience. If I remember correctly we had about 30-40 lb backpacks and we were training for a back country hike a few years ago. It was hot and sticky and the gnats were invading my eyes. I felt like today the trail was beautiful. The views were fantastic and the forest was spooky. We saw no one all day.
