Had an unusual thing happen... Ran up the surge, and when I got to the ball fields, the road was closed by police, but they said nothing to me and let me through... So I kept on going, and a few moments later, I ran by a large fireworks display sitting on the ground (other side of the road), ready to be set off....couldn't believe it...it was like running by a bomb or something, I was amazed they let me through. Five minutes later I had made it to Lake Alice and they set it off.. big explosions! I was glad they let me through, would have been mad if they'd stopped me, but I would have been wrong to be mad, as it was dangerous to run through there! Well, one of the more interesting things I've encountered out on a run.....
