I ran from the Parking area across from Giant Springs to the hill that leads to Rainbow Dam South parking area. It's exactly a mile to the beginning which is located at the mile marker just before the tunnel. From there you go uphill for 800 meters, at a fast pace (under 8 minute pace), then easy jog back down to the starting point, and repeat. I did the hill 3 times. I was planning four, but noticed a sensation at the bottom of my foot, and wasn't willing to take any chances. 3 gave me 5 miles for the run.
