Notes

I was actually looking forward to this run! Of course, once I got outside in the humid, hot nastiness that is summer, it was still not great, but I'm just pleased that I was actually anticipating a run. Buttercup came with, and she was a very good girl; she didn't bark at either of the other dogs we encountered (probably because they're both bigger than her). The first dog is a beautiful, chocolate lab-- a big ol' boy. They just sniffed each other and then he went back to his yard and Buttercup followed me. Then Brindle (the neighbor's dog) was her usual enthusiastic self, so she tried to run with me while Buttercup went to cut across the field to get home. I'll draw a map:

home------road-------------I

``````````````````````````````` I
``````````````````````````````` I

````````````````````````````` road
`````````````field```````````` I

```````````````````````````````` I
````` Buttercup````````````` I

````````````````````````````````I
```````````````````````````````me

````````````````````````````````` Brindle
Brindle gave up following me and decided to go sniff Buttercup instead, so I just finished my run and Buttercup showed up a minute later. Silly puppers.
