THIS WAS A HARD RUN. I struggled, from about a mile in until the very bitter end. The bugs were awful, it was HOT, and this was incredibly difficult, physically and mentally. I was really glad for the 5x20 second surges at the end, because they distracted me from the fact that I still had a mile and a half to go. Having John with helped a lot, as company always does on a long run.
