I just HAVE to log this because AHHH!! It was so. much. fun! I had the idea a few weeks ago to see if Ames had an adult recreational soccer league. They do, and they have a system where if you don't have a team, you can just put yourself in the player pool, and teams that are short members can pick you up for a game (or the whole season). Well, I got a text asking if I wanted to join "Danfoos" soccer club, and so I did. We were soundly beat (3-5), but it didn't even matter because we were all just having a grand old time.
My brain's happiness chemicals really needed this boost. :)
