This was a cool race. Option to run 10, 15, or 20 miles over a 5 mile rolling hilly loop (aka, perfect Boston prep). I was planning to do 20, but already had 2.5 miles from the warm up on my legs, so I didn't want to put too great of a strain on myself this early in the year. I was shooting for 6:25 pace or so, but the wind was really gusty and made keeping a steady pace difficult. Towards the end, the wind was getting even stronger, so that was the final straw do decide to stop at 15 instead of trying to do 20 and end up redlining the last few miles.

I am really excited about coming out strong this early in the spring though. While I didn't race 100%, rather faced today as a hard long run, I still was able to hold a solid pace. Good stuff on the way. Definitely need to start some threshold workouts though! And keep healthy
