This was run at zone 2 which is known as Long/Medium Run pace. It is slightly faster than aerobic and slightly slower than MP. It's not an even, flat surface which might account for some of the change in pace and elevation of heart rate. It's an interesting way to train ... watching heart rate rather than pace. I set my GPS to auto lap at every mile, this is the differential, I think, of interest, except that with the changes in elevation that will be a less reliable reader. I also ran for 60 minutes rather than a particular distance (slightly more, by the time I remembered to set watch etc.). My lower legs are quite tender and 'worked out'. I will run at aerobic pace tomorrow.
