Notes
Didn't run in the morning (always a mistake) before we drove up to Camden to do a little baby hike, needed the extra sleep I guess. Had a late lunch at Seadog's (2x beer) before driving back... I figured that the only chance of getting in a LR was to get dropped off ~17 miles from Cape E, so did exactly that (thankfully had had the foresight to bring running shorts). It was really dark and I basically followed Route 1 the whole time, so some of this wasn't ideal but for the most part it felt safe - was always on either a path or a wide shoulder, and if the cars couldn't always see me at least I could see them! Felt really good and ended up having a nice natural progression. Wanted to keep it rolling the whole way but had stomach issues as I got to Portland around mile 11, so had to scramble to find a surreptitious spot - barely did. Had an uptempo but not flying pace the rest of the way from there. Fun run!
