80-90'
GREAT morning long run. Woke up naturally around 6 o'clock and did some golf ball massage. The bottom of my foot is realllly tender for sure. Out the door by 6:30, busy day ahead. It was a pleasantly chilly morning, good for waking up. I just was just straight chillen for the first half, enjoyed the morning. First mile was 6:50s but I was feeling good and it gradually drifted down to under 6:20. First 8 miles in 51:21, 6:25 pace. After the 45' mark I let myself go a little faster, was pleasantly surprised to hit a few sub 6 miles. 38' for the last 6.21 miles, 6:07 pace.
It really was a pretty easy run. Never really pushed it, just let myself run about as fast as I could while still being comfortable. Not that surprising really, it's so much less hilly than Troy, I imagine our long runs would be a lot faster in Pembroke. But a nice feeling run all the same, I am starting the summer from a great spot.
Good first week of summer, 68 miles @ 6:33. Missed one double, NBD. Looking to hopefully keep the intensity similar for next week with the longer main runs.
