Slow and easy morning shakeout, everything felt good. Saw Brian.

Looking forward to a good week, some more high volume and high quality. Will be sure to keep up my diet and sleep routine, both of which I think have been ON POINT so far this semester (174.8 7 day rolling avg!) 3 workouts this week which I am excited for BUT am going to rein it in a bit / be honest with how hard I am working. I was looking back at my logs from sr year of HS last night. I was SUPER motivated, put a ton of pressure on myself, ran too hard basically every day, ephed up all the workouts, and had a series of train wreck races. Ultimately the season left me pretty devastated... I tried to force things and it didn't work. Don't want to make the same mistakes this year in a season that has so many parallels. It's a little spooky that there are so few 8ks left, but it's still a long season! Just need to keep training smart and hard and doing the right things and that's all there is to do, no expectations. Just enjoy the ride.
