LR in Cape E. Started with Shannon and headed towards Portland, decided in the first half hour what I wanted to for a workout. Was interested in sampling Paul's JD alternating-pace marathon workouts, decided to do 2M/1T/2M/1T/2M, aiming for ~6:24 (est. thon DP, i.e. PR pace) and sub 6' for the T. Felt pretty good! Was a little slow over the first 3 miles, but the Back Cove path was a bit slower than the roads so I figured I was fine. Felt really good getting back to MP, but the 2nd T mile was tough - felt like I was hauling but was still on the slower side. Perfectly solid last two miles despite navigating some uphills. Good stuff, I will do some more of these workouts in the future, I am in a fine place for when I transition to marathon focus. Goal right now is 6:15 pace for Boston which I think is very achievable.
