Perfect weather for racing
I wanted to get out relaxed and easy, but not lose contact with the lead pack. I ended up getting out a little harder than anticiapted, but I think it worked out well. around 2 miles in my biceps started to get tired and around 3.5 miles my forearms stiffened b/c they got cold. My arms were dead with a mile to go, making the last mile and the few hills in it suck ass. I could feel my hips starting to tighten as well. I think they were tightening up b/c I havent done too many faster paced stuff, esp with my knee acting how it has.
I got passed by 5 guys in the last 2k, and one was with 500m left, but I couldnt do anything about it. I tried to go w/ Jules but only held on to him for a 1/2 mile.
I am just glad my knee didnt hurt at all during the race and I broke 26 minutes (my goal if the knee cooperated)
