would have been better to know the course/splits. no mile-markers, so my whole strategy consisted of; there's one big hill. it's around mile 2. get up it, then you can run as fast as you want.
the hill wasn't so big, so i could've expended a bit more energy upfront. i also didn't have a good sense of my pace, since i didn't get any splits. but had a good run anyway, and plenty in the tank to enjoy the 4th w/ the family afterwards.
