Finally got around to running through the valley in South Boulder. I started from the high school and wanted to take it slow since I was feeling a little beat up. kept it conservative all the way up past Marshall Mesa, then I noticed how the climbing had really impacted my pace and felt the need to get going once I was in the valley where it was surprisingly flat. I wanted to make sure I could get 12 in 90 minutes at least and the early pace made me doubt. But I seemed to forget how much up and down there is because once I flipped, I was cruising. Nearly 750 ft of gain and almost all of it was in the first half. Still want to come back down here and explore the trails some more, but maybe the day before a workout isnt the right time.
