T75; H73; DP61; W11SSW: Just an easy run to check how the pulled muscle/tendon (?) is doing, and to see if the 2nd epidural I had yesterday did any good. I'm not sure if such a short run will show me anything, but I tried to beat the rain. It will be thundering and lightening in a few minutes.

In order to give whatever is pulled more time to heal, I decided to wear the Addidas, which are more built up that what I have been running in. I think I realized how I pulled whatever it is. I've been running in the Mizuno Wave Universe 4s for short runs, just to break them in and to get used to them. Then when I went out for a long run, I automatically reached for them. I don't think my legs were ready to use them for a long run yet. That's why I never got to 18 miles. I only got to 14, and my calf was all siezed up. With the Addidas, the calf won't be stretched out as much when I lean--because I can't lean as far with built up heels. That may take some pressure off--at least I'm hoping.
