didn't really plan on race pace, actually started out with the intent of a faster pace 8 mile loop but decided to shorten the run and try a fast first mile as a time trial. was pretty surprised as to how easy the faster (7:30 pace) felt and figured I would slow it down in the second mile. I kept going [retty good and after creting greeley hill decided to finish as a 5k and see how good the time ended up. after the kick ran a mile and a half as a cooldown.
7:33.....147-160 (hr peak at 97%)
8:33.....156-164 ( big hill )
7:53.....158-162
6:27.....161-162 (pretty strong kick but not 100% effort)
