Notes

Easy recovery with half a dozen strides. Cutting mileage in half this week to recover and peak. I hope.

Weight now dropping again. Friday I ate a bunch of cereal, which put a lot of carbs in my gut and system. Saturday night we cooked out with the Garys, and while I didn't think I went crazy, I also was not super careful either. So it seems those things, combined with just how my water retention and BM cycles seem to go on the weekends caused all the bloat Sunday morning. Today I felt lighter and it showed on the scale. If this week is like previous weeks my weight should glide down all week, and then I will have to pay attention to what I do on the weekend until race morning. Since I am cutting my mileage down from about 12/day average to about 6/day average, I am also going to cut my average daily calorie goal (for the days I obey -- and it needs to be ALL of them from here on in except maybe next Sunday) from about 2500 to about 2100, so still running a slight deficit, but not quite as much.
