I'm gonna borrow a car as soon as I can and measure these things, because there isn't agreement on distances between mapmyrun and googlemaps and runningahead, so some roads must have changed or something.
In any case, fields--> Atkins, Bay St --> 47 --> Notwurruck watchamacallit, walked down to the river and back.
Nice day, actually had time to find my way down to the river (courtesy of an old man at the french fry stand at the flea market who directed me through the woods past his compost pile), but the trail put me out at a place where the banks were 20 feet high across from a beach completely covered in motor boats and jet skis. Not exactly the calm river scene I was looking for. Oh well. I've got time to look around.
