First time running the actual race, but I've run the course many times during my training runs. This was intended to be a 'B' race, where the effort level would be 8 out of 10. I kept the effort there for the first 28mi; however, I was feeling so good at that point that I decided to drop the hammer to finish out the race. It felt great to pass so many people on the hills. I must have been in 30th place after the first mile, but most came back to me on the hills - I ran every single one fairly strong. Temps and weather was generally perfect. Fun race, surprised how my legs responded after a lackluster week. I'll take a day or two off to let them recover.
