wetsuit legal swim with a beach start. I started in the very front on the water's edge. It was never rough with just 74 of us racing in my wave. The water was really smooth and easy to site with overcast, rainy weather. I had feet a lot of the swim for most of the swim. towards the end, i was in the meat of the earlier wave, so started pushing more to get around them, though. my watch said 33:20 when i got out, but it was a long run up the beach to the timing mat, and 1 guy in my wave passed me. I was trying to not run too hard out of the water, and instead be methodical and relaxed starting the bike.
