Notes
The first mile felt really easy, but i toned it back a little. It was humid so, i was trying to make sure i didn't push too early and overheat. The course was 3 loops, and just over 3 miles into the loop (behind the finish line), was a bridge made of fake wood that was really slick to run on. I really focused on just keeping my feet fast the whole run.
My left quad started cramping around mile 5 or 6, but it stopped as soon as the rain started. Rain started about 6.5 miles into the race. The course was 3 laps, and the souther end was starting to flood on that second loop and by the third it was ove rmy ankles in spots. I did my best to pick a route that wouldn't be through the deep water. I'm surprised i didn't end up with blisters.
Nutrition: i carried a 5 gel flask mixed with 2 Vanilla Powergels and would take sips of that and sips of water as i ran I ran by
