went with no data, and it seemed to work well. There was a mile marker at 20 and 40 miles, so I had a little sense of where I was on the course, but that's all. I carried ~3 servings of infinit (the first was watered down a little since I'm thirsty after swimming and drink a little faster). each serving was mixed in 24 oz of water. it was a little windy and the course was crowded, but i tried to stay steady the whole time.

I did have one big screw up. The first sharp uphill was after a hard right turn. I saw it coming up and shifted from my small to big ring, but realized the shift didn't happen once I hit the hill. I tried muscling up it, but couldn't. I ended up hopping off and moving my chain to the small ring, but I couldn't get going again on that steep hill and ended up running my bike up it. Stupid mistake that cost me 57 seconds fixing, plus the time running up the hill (watch autopaused, so i know.... not that anal to time it) My shifting was perfectly smooth other than this. I think i was just going from big x 12 to small x 12 too suddenly with the incline.
