Notes

Left arch is still tender after first having an issue midway through Monday's run. Little to no improvement so far. A very tender/tight inner calf is associated with the problem (didn't become apparent until massage on Tuesday AM) and seems to have improved some since I started massaging/stretching. Arch is tender but seems to only be a problem with impact forces, deep massage and certain shoes (nike frees).

Seemingly the tibialis posterior (and/or other calve muscles) to blame here just like the right leg. I've learned that this tendon/muscle is closely related to ITB problems and this clearly fits with my scenario as I'm still suffering with outer quad/ITB and hip/glute tightness (improving slowly).

Perhaps this improvement in the upper legs/butt has resulted in more strain on the lower leg or changed foot landing/pronation. As I've neglected the calves over the last few weeks I'm not surprised.

Despite the same muscle/tendon on both legs the pain has popped up in different locations - ankle vs. arch. Both are symptoms of tibialis posterior problems and given my history of right ankle sprains and left foot plantar fasciitis the pain points make sense.

I had some warning signs on both lower legs but didn't take action - though the ankle flare up didn't have very much warning like the left. Left foot was a bit achy on top of foot and on lower peroneus but I didn't act on it and no doubt caused an over correction toward the inner calve. The left upper leg (quad/itb and knee) also had some aches late last week which could be involved as well. Peroneus is still tender as well.

I'm rather frustrated as I let a busy schedule and fatigue/sickness take away from my body awareness and am wasting at least a solid week of training because of it...
