Notes

Doing some reading today after having more of a pin-pointed location for the pain.

While I can't completely rule out patellofemoral pain syndrome and perhaps a slight case of ITBS (in addition to) my symptoms seem to reflect Medial Synovial Plica Syndrome (similar to PFPS and often misdiagnosed as PFPS).

Pain became more apparent and specific after massaging/pressing and icing area on Saturday evening. Discomfort was very specific during Sunday's run and only on inside of patella.

This is the original location of the discomfort and my recent attempts to run have likely brought on muscle issues along with some different knee sensations (ITBS).

Hopefully I don't have multiple issues at the same time. Tight hamstrings is a major issue for both PFPS and the Medial Plica, so that is a priority along with my rehab exercises but I will be leaving out the leg extensions and only do straight leg extensions.

Ice, massage and meds are recommended as well. It would probably be wise to take another few days off of work, but I'll give it a couple days with my new found knowledge to see how things go (especially since the last couple runs have been better).
