WoooWeeee! Got my 60 in - the day after my 50! Yippee! What a beautiful day. The skies have been amazing lately. Left from MLK again. Stopped in Rocheport. Met two other ladies getting ready for The Ride too. Took my time in Rocheport. I wanted this ride to feel good and there was no hurry. Then, off to Boonville. Ate my sandwich & half the apple. I had been having chewies prior to. Was drinking mainly Gatorade. It was starting to warm up a bit and I wanted this to go smoothly. Took a good break at Boonville and read up on the history of the area. Headed back. Stopped at the monument in New Franklin and learned more history - then straight on to Rocheport. After a break there I was feeling a tad reflective. I decided to stop quick at The Junction and cancel the evenings plans so I could rest. I didn't feel bad, but I knew I'd be tired. Turned out the plans were already canx. Yay! Add to that a text from Travis asking if he could stop by for wiggle time on his way home from IL and I was fired up for the last 8 miles! It helped that the wind had really picked up after Rocheport and as I turned south it pushed me back towards CoMo. It was fun. At one point I saw 17 mph (briefly). A good way to end the ride though. I'm getting more and more excited for the ride! Total ride time was 4:31. Total time out with breaks and rose smelling was 6:52. Not bad. It'll work for Katy! There weren't a ton of people out on the trail which surprised me a bit, but there will be 350 coming up soon! :)
